Change the Help Text Back to How it Was

The help text on the general application used to appear when you mouse over the questions and you could used formatting (bold, italics, etc.) to make it easier to read. Now it appears below the answer field in a light grey font and cannot be formatted. It's harder to read, the form looks cluttered, and why is it below the answer field and not after the question itself? You know people read from top to bottom, right?

I agree, and preferred the information bubble, though I understand the need to meet accessibility standards.  It would make sense to have the text appear below the question as opposed to the answer fields.  I would also like to see more HTML compatibility with all text boxes.  From my experience it seems to pick and choose what code it will and will not apply.

    Thanks, Nataly.

We moved the help text out of the "i" icons because those icons presented accessibility issues and were not always picked up by screenreaders.

You can still use bold or italic formatting by using <strong> Text here </strong> for bold and <em> Text here </em> for italics. We're currently working on a fix to the help text on the admin side to explain how to use this formatting, and take out references to the previous formatting.

That said, I'll leave this request as "Open for Voting" as we could continue to improve how the help text appears to applicants, including where it displays on the page.
