Indiana University would like to request that addition file types be added to the "Permitted File Types" selection list when creating a question. Specifically, we would like the option to be able to select the following file types in order to restrict applicant file uploads:
Additional file types may be helpful for other institutions.
Client Name "shard name" | IU |
User | Opportunity Admin, Applicant, Reviewer, Reviewer Chair , System Admin, Reviewer Chair |
Functional Unit | Apply-to , Questions, Users, Files, Apply-to |

Hi Carrie,
My sincere apologies for missing your reply. Some of our campuses have Schools of Art or Colleges of Arts & Sciences which require portfolios in the form of .ppt, .pdf, .jpeg, and/or .png and those are the only files they wish to receive. They have had issues in the past with students uploading incompatible files. For example, students using a MacBook uploading a Mac file that is not compatible with a Windows PC. Restricting these files types would help prevent that from happening as it does with uploaded resume and/or essay documents for us. We're happy to discuss this further if more information is needed/desired.
Thanks!
~Rachel
Thanks, Rachel!
We didn't choose .jpeg and .png because we have an image file type question that limits applicants to those file types specifically. Do you have a need to allow for a mix of file types, such as .pdf or .png? Can you tell me more about those questions?
