We would like to see a message on the login screen stating when the system is down.

The system was down recently for few hours which happened to be the date we launched our conditional application to students. We received numerous inquiries from administrators, students, campus constituent expressing their frustration. We believe this would help all if there was message stating when the system is down on the login page so all parties are aware.

    Thanks, Anani. I apologize for the inconvenience with the recent outage. That was an unplanned outage and we were unable to put up messaging other than the standard error messages.

    For planned outages, such as the upcoming one on December 8th, we put up a message in the system to all users a few days before the outage. They will also see a message on the day of the outage letting them know the system is down for maintenance.
