"Add a new file" is not intuitive to new users

It's not always clear to a new or infrequent user how to add a file to the system. The hyperlinked text "View" or "Add a new file" can easily get lost in the question that's being created, and isn't an obvious upload link. Can we make that font more distinguishable, bigger, or possibly even a direct button (rather than click, then have a button show up)? Even once the button is available, after the file is uploaded, it's not very clear that it's there. The dropdown box is more obvious and draws the eye. Please look at other application upload systems. Many of our references have complained that it's not simple for them to get into AcademicWorks/Blackbaud Award Management and that it's not as easy as it is when they upload letters at other scholarship platforms available at many other well-known institutions (e.g. MIT, Leadership Alliance).

I agree, this causes so much confusion (I get many calls about this) and I can't imagine a situation where it would actually be helpful. I think it's more appropriate to have a user just browse for their file each time they want to upload, instead of having the system remember it.
