Opportunity Admin's are able to select award periods outside those currently defined on open opportunities within a portfolio, when bulk categorizing or awarding at the opportunity level.
This allows opportunity admin's to select the wrong award period when awarding, which leads to inaccurate reporting.
System admins currently direct their opportunities admins which award periods to use outside of the AW system.

Hi Maxwell, If the client disables Award Periods that are not currently being used, it will limit the list to only those currently available.
