The institution would like to have more control of how/the order in which opportunities are presented on the public landing page of their AW website. End date of opportunity and/or alphabetical order don't always serve their purposes. We also discussed adjusting visibility, but that still doesn't give them the control they'd like.
Some examples of how the current order doesn't work for them:
- They have a new scholarship for which the next opportunity will be in 2019, but they want to get applicants thinking about it now, so they are having to adjust dates in order for it to appear more prominently.
- They also hear from their donors who want their opportunities visible all the time so that they can point people to it and find it very easily, regardless of dates or having the opp open.

Wisconsin has a similar use case -
Allow users to search on Open Opportunities on the public website. This could be done by allowing for sorting on the 'Actions' column or by adding a filter to the 'Show Filters' section
James Madison University would also like the feature.
Specifically, they asked:
For both ‘Recommended Opportunities’ and ‘All Opportunities’ listings, can an option be added to sort by both ‘Award Amount’ and ‘Due Date’? This will allow students to manage their application process in ways that are more effective for them.
