Grids update too slowly

Because the grids take so long to update and multiple people could be processing awards at once, it would be nice to have c checkbox or way to flag an opportunity as being updated after processing awards in grids. See below thorough explanation from WVU to include snapshots.

I am beginning to match the Tier 2 funding opportunities to the Tier 1 central opportunities. I started with the Tier 2 Cntrl PR_1 scope of opportunities first. This is the most highly selective opportunities and there is a limited number of such opportunities. Then I continued on with the Tier 2 Central PR 1 scope of opportunities. There are 95 opportunities in this scope. I want to ignore the 38 opportunities with no matching applicants (Applicant Count = 0), so I have 57 opportunities that have at least one applicant matched to the opportunity.

I started with the opportunities with an applicant count = 1 and the opportunities sorted alphabetically. Because it takes a while for the screen to update with the new information, I basically went down the list of opportunities one after another without bothering to wait for the updates. Unfortunately, I got interrupted and forgot which opportunity I last processed and had to go back and check the opportunities to determine which opportunity I last processed.

It would be nice if there is a checkbox that can be checked once it is processed. So, if multiple staff are processing, they will know to avoid the opportunities already processed. This will be similar to checking off a list like a downloaded list of opportunities that one can maintain like what I did below with the yellow highlight.

Problem: The primary issue here is that the grids do not update quickly enough. If they did, he would see the funds had been exhausted, and know that the opportunity had been processed.
