Manually updating award amounts is time consuming

CSU Sacramento finds that updating the award amount and awards available on the opportunities is to cumbersome and would like to be able to import the information through an API.  I explained the opportunity update worksheet to them, but they stated that entering the information on the worksheet takes to long and they would like to be able to export it from their system and automatically import it to the opportunity details.

    The University of Tampa also supports this request. I find manually updating awards and award amounts in AM to be very time consuming and can be error-prone. It literally takes me weeks to enter the data into the system before I can even identify which Opportunities have additional funding to award & select those recipients. There needs to be a better way to do this. Thank you for considering this enhancement request.

    Proposed Feature Requirements for Opportunity Import/Export API

    • Contains same columns as New Opportunity Import

      • Rename "source" column in import to "type" to match terminology used everywhere else in BBAM UI for this data.

      • Rename "total award amount" column in import to "opportunity amount" to match terminology used everywhere else in BBAM UI for this data.

      • Rename "total awards" column in import to "opportunity awards" to match terminology used everywhere else in BBAM UI for this data.

      • rename "end_date" column to "internal_end_date" in import to "opportunity awards" to match terminology used everywhere else in BBAM UI for this data.

    • Contains the following additional columns:

      • Public End Date

      • Post Acceptance Enabled

      • Post Acceptance Date

      • Reviewer Note

      • Hide Applicant Name from Reviewers

      • Conditional Application

      • Fund Period

      • Portfolio ID

        • Would allow for updating Fund Code, Aux Code, Project ID

    • Allows for creating a new Portfolio if no Portfolio ID is provided for a row.

    • Allows for creating new opportunities if no Opp ID provided for a row.

    • Allows for updating any column that can be updated in the UI for a non-archived portfolio/opportunity.

    • API also available as a manual import and export on the Import/Exports page.

    • Renewal Data would not be updated via this import.

    Davidson College would really like to see this enhancement as manually updating award amounts is causing us a lot of effort that could be utilized for efficiently elsewhere.
