Don't require applicant to type in hypens when entering phone numbers.

The problem:

Users are accustomed to being able to type in phone numbers like this: 5125551212 and platforms convert it to the format needed. They said this is really cumbersome (having students type in 512-555-1212) and that "most websites today don't require you to enter a dash."
