Edyta notified us that students were potentially missing opportunities because the all opportunities search bar searches for External and Internal opportunities separately.  See example below of two searches for "Grainger" on the External and Ours pages prior to the students logging in.  

With the release of the system-wide search function, I think it would be great to implement a similar style of dropdown menus when searching for opportunities on the front end of the page.  At this time the only workaround has been to add additional help text on the homepage.
