The Context:
On the ACA screen, if a student has multiple un-archived applications, that are under successive opportunities within the same portfolio (e.g. in the case of overlapping cycles), then we will append the cycle name or season name to each opportunity. This is good! If we didn't do this, the client would be unable to distinguish which opportunity belonged to which cycle -- the current one, or the last one?
So far, so good.
The Problem:
There is a scenario with overlapping-cycle clients that we are not addressing here: where a student qualifies for 1 out of 2 opportunities, not both. For example, they matched to the "Success Scholarship" in the previous cycle, but not in the current one. Or, the reverse. The problem is that in both those cases, the client will have no way to determine which cycle that opportunity belongs to (unless he/she drills into the box and clicks on the Opportunity link to find out).
Hope that scenario makes sense. I imagine that for clients who have overlapping cycles, this scenario will be QUITE common.
