System wide grid views makes it difficult for schools with multiple admins

System Admin wants to be able to create a custom grid view on the Opportunities Grid to be used by all Departmental Admins (opportunity admins). She doesn't want to have to have the same default grid view for all users. Currently the only way she can do this is to create a custom grid view, set it as default, and ALL admins have to have that as their default. If one of her other System Admins changes the default, that changes it for all departmental admins as well. She wants them to only see specific information in the grid.

She'd like to tie the grid view to the Role or to the individual users, so all Departmental Admins would have a certain default grid view OR a list of specific users have a certain default grid view.

She would also like to be able to do this for opportunity application grids. So that any departmental admin looking at an applications grid would see the same thing as any other departmental admin, but the System Admin could see a different default grid view.

Colby College has also asked for this.

Use Case: Opp Admin does not have access to the same opps that they Sys Admin uses in the Default Grid View. Whenever the Opp Admin goes to Opportunities Grid she is defaulted to blank grid because the Sys Admin set the Default grid view to something she can't see.

Yes, I told them the Opp Admin can use DB Cards as a work around, but client thinks it makes more sense to tie default grid views to users rather than make them site wide.

Brooke Moore at southalabama would like this as far as letting each user set their own default view.  In addition, their saved grid views are getting clogged with the saved grid views that their 106 admins create system wide, and she'd like grid views to be user specific as well.
