One of Wyoming's colors is yellow, and they would like to be able to choose the background color against this yellow to provide more contrast in the following two specific situations:
1. They used the following website to test accessibility of their site: http://wave.webaim.org/report#/https://uwyo.academicworks.com/opportunities/external. Specifically, it is the "Visit" link for each opp against the white/gray background
2. In screenshot they provided, attached, again it is the yellow "Update/View" against the gray.
Per Alania's suggestion, I recommended they change their color to something darker so provide the greater contrast.

One of our school colors is yellow as well and it is a challenging color to use on the site and have it be readable. We have the yellow as our main color in BAM, so our sign in buttons are yellow. However, the white text can be difficult to read. We'd love to have the option to change the text color to black so that we can keep our school colors but have a better contrast.
From Carmen at University of Iowa:
Good afternoon,
Earlier this spring you provided information to us concerning portal areas that were not meeting WCAG 2.0 guidelines for best accessibility. We were notified that one of our colors (yellow) was not compliant. We’re thinking the only other color we can work with that is somewhat in keeping with our school colors is gray (#757575). However, this will leave our site with black and gray…pretty dull and not very representative of IOWA which is something we really do not want.
We’re wondering if AW is considering any future enhancements that would provide additional formatting options on the portal. For instance, we would like to have the option of breaking out the page border color from the buttons. Since the page border is just cosmetic, this would enable us to keep the yellow there and have a match to our school colors. The buttons are navigation content and it make sense to have the contrast and be accessible. Another possibility could be allowing black for button text, rather than defaulting only to white. If we had black for button text, we could keep our yellow because the contrast would be fine. Is there anything in the works that may address these concerns?
Appreciate your time.
