Currently if an applicant needs an extension to complete/change an application the administrator would need to change the opportunity end date later to be conditional end date as well once released.
WISC would prefer this ability to extend a deadline date on the chosen applicant opposed to opening up the opportunity pool or conditional pool if deadline date has been met allowing all applicants to potentially update their applications/apply-to questions.
See Keith's feedback and let me know if you need further clarification or have any other questions. Thanks! Cammy
In short, our opportunity administrators use this function in our current system to extend deadlines for individual students who are granted an extension without opening the application back up to everyone. I believe that users find this incredibly helpful and, if possible, would like to do this in the future.

Just adding another comment - this has come up again for one of our biggest users and comes up at least a few times a year. This would be super helpful for us.
Calvin University submitted a similar request. Description below:
"We would like to see a Public End Date and an optional Internal End Date on the General Application and Conditional Applications (similar to the individual opportunities). We would continue to advertise our Public End Date of Feb 1, but an Internal End Date would allow us to provide some grace to students with unique circumstances by allowing them to complete the application by Feb 3. "
See similar use case from lanecc in the merged enhancement. In their case, the admin would need a way to make changes to applications after the deadline, without opening them up for everyone.
