Ad Hoc Emails to more than 50 applicants

Our customers who use the Ad Hoc Email function oftentimes have more than 50 applicants to send the email to.  On grid views admins will commonly check the box to select all applicants, choose "email" from the "act on selected box," and send an Ad Hoc Email thinking they are sending it to everyone on the grid.  They are then surprised to find out it only sent to the first 50.

Sending to more than 50 applicants at a time would be wonderful. I think a few of us have requested this years ago. Thank you.

Didn't there used to be an option to email all users? We often filter the General App grid to email students who qualify for an award with a low number of applicants. I swear there used to be an option on the email screen if you checked all on the applicant grid to check a box to email # of other applicants so that you could email all of the applicants your grid was filter down to, not just the first 50? I first noticed this fall that this option was no longer available.

UW Madison is still interested in this feature. We would love to be able to send larger, targeted emails to students from the system instead of having to use outside means (list servs) to reach students. It would be nice and more consistent to send scholarship related messaging from one source.

Pepperdine University would love this enhancement.  Sending to over 3,000 or more at 50 a time is a huge project itself.  Please enhance.

Please see similar request from gulfcoast in the merged enhancement. Description below -

"Currently you have to go page by page to send a group email to applicants. Should have a check box to designate "all" wen sending an email. We have over 1,200 applications in our general file and if I want to send a group email; that would be over 20 pages I have to retype the message. "

It would be nice if there could be a box that pops up that says "You're sending this message to just 50 users. (Linked message)Send message to all applicants in this grid?" with a checkbox if the admin wants to send it to all users in the grid, where XXX is the total number of users that show in that grid view. Gmail does this nicely when you search a term and want to select all instances of that search term (see attachment).

The switch to Blackbaud's UI opens the possibility of sending emails to more than 50 users. We'll research this and hope to include this functionality when we update our grids.

Wisconsin would also like this feature: "we were hoping to use the ad-hoc function to announce the opening of some of our applications. Given the wide audience completing some of our Conditionals (i.e. continuing liberal arts students), we thought that filtering on the Applications grid and sending an email to entice students to check out/complete the application would help generate interest and excitement for this year’s cycle. Given that AW allows us to use data points to hone in on our intended applicant pool already (and has an email feature), we thought it’d be a logical next steps to use the system to send exciting scholarship announcements right from the Applications grid."

University of Alabama at Birmingham would also like this. Specifically, they have dashboard cards that are for the number of reference users that have not logged in to the system. They have ~600 users and would like to email all of them from the dashboard card/grid filter.
